Just the other day a good friend of told me “You have that touch de genie.” It is basically that genius touch. He read a few poems i wrote and wouldn’t believe i actually wrote that. So, when he finally made up his mind and was convinced i actually did write them, he showered me with complements. I was star struck and amazed and filled myself with believe and confidence. I think that was also one of the reasons i decided to start writing on medium.

I won't lie to you’ll I was a shy kid when growing up. I never saw myself writing and posting stuff in public like this. I didn’t know how i would handle being called out for bad writing or if my stuff wasn’t good enough to put out there to be scrutinized by the public. But honestly, it isn’t that bad if the criticism comes from a good place.

Criticisms coming from a good place helps you grow; it makes you learn; it pushes you further. But criticism coming from an unhealthy mind comes in the form of trolls and cyberbullying which just don’t look good. It is this type of criticism people don’t like; it leads to unhealthy habits.

A good critique at the right time would change a life. So, yes; every time I write content and post I am opening myself up for criticism. I will appreciate some from time to time as it helps me grow and shape my perspective.

Feedback is the ultimate tool for improvement aid. As da Vinci pointed out, it’s hard to see our own faults without help, but feedback shows us the way. By using the tools of tests, mirrors, recordings, fresh perspectives, guidance, and analysis, we expose our weak points and are able to better process the feedback we receive.
