I brave every challenge one day at a time knowing tomorrow will be another struggle. Knowing my faith will keep me strong and going, knowing there is nothing stopping me from achieving what my minds sets out to achieve. Challenges I encounter helped forged the character i have, made me the man that i am, made me a better person, made me know life is unfair and I need to do better, made me understand the true nature of sacrifice and selflessness, made me see the bigger picture when be, made me consider my options whenever the chance presents itself, made me; me, made me Us; The happy Us.

Marathon an unending race to a pinnacle. A state of mind attainable by an unbreakable will. I swear to you if man could use his mind to bend the elements to their will, then I assure you all metal around me will be twisted and torn into shreds; but still, I will never surrender. Like a marathon ran by a thousand men, I will never give up for I know the end point is certain.

All life is a struggle, that is the nature of things. Even within our physical bodies, doctors tell us, a conflict for supremacy is going on. The bacteria in our bloodstream are waging a constant war against alien germs. Darkness hates light. I have a dog that would rather dig up a moldy carcass to chew on than to have the finest, cleanest meal. He can’t help it — that is his nature. Men cannot help that it is their nature to respond to the lewd, the salacious, and the vile. They will have difficulty doing otherwise until they are born again.

Life struggles are common encounters that are characterized by our response to discomfort, disaffection, and limitation. Your response to a particular struggle will determine your preparation to face bigger struggles in life. “When the storms do come; you can only allow them to slow you down, but don’t let them stop you. There will be delays, detours, and disappointments, but you have to keep pushing through it.” -Bernard Kelvin Clive

Can we believe in our mission enough to trust in it and stay in the race? Can we slow our pace, and avoid burning out in our own sprint of doubt?

Your goal, your mission is a distance race. Stay the course!

-Dom
